Job summary

A leading company in the industry located in Brakpan, Gauteng is seeking an HR professional to assist with various human resources strategies. Responsibilities include recruiting for all positions, managing training initiatives, and ensuring compliance with South African labour laws. The ideal candidate will have extensive HR administrative experience and knowledge of HR-related legislation, providing support across departments and handling various HR functions efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation (BBBEE, BCEA, LRA).
  • Experience in HR administration and recruitment processes.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate training and development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the HRBP with implementing human resources strategies.
  • Recruit for all positions from unskilled to junior management.
  • Conduct exit interviews and report monthly.
  • Facilitate induction/onboarding for new employees.
  • Attend disciplinary hearings as the HR Representative.

Job description
  • Assist the HRBP with the implementation of all human resources strategies and objectives
  • Recruitment and selection of all positions from unskilled to junior management
  • Assist the HRBP with the implementation of talent management, succession planning, Engagement surveys, employee wellness initiatives and all HR related projects
  • Provide efficient and accurate HR administration service to all departments
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions for all employees
  • Complete letters of appointment and contracts for all employees
  • Facilitate induction/onboarding for all new employees
  • Ensure all exit interviews are conducted and reported monthly
  • Identify training and development opportunities
  • Registered / on a process of being a registered Skills Development Facilitator for the Company
  • Complete and submit Mandatory Skills Development reports to CHIETA
  • Ensure that training is booked in accordance with WSP and Pivotal Plans
  • Coordinates/monitors all training activities
  • Adhoc an HR Representative for the Transformation Committee Meeting
  • Implement and maintain record keeping systems for all internal and external training
  • Implement and maintain record keeping systems for annual Employment Equity reporting to Dept. of Labour
  • Manage and support management and employees with development plans
  • Maintain record keeping systems for BBBEE
  • Attend disciplinary hearings as the HR Representative
  • Ensure that all discipline/hearings are procedurally and substantively correct
  • Attend monthly shop steward meetings
  • Conduct performance management training with all new or promoted junior/middle managers
  • Provides advice on human resources issues to employees and management
  • Develops new employee onboarding/induction processes
  • Ensure employee starter packs are completed for new employees
  • Ensures the consistent interpretation and administration of company policies and procedures by acting as a resource to managers
  • Coordinates all employee recognition programs
  • Handle medical aid queries and related documentation
  • Handle pension/provident fund queries and related documentation
  • Complete monthly HR Reports
  • Complete Certificates of Service for terminated employees
  • Create and maintain personnel files for all employees
  • Accurate and timeous completion of all HR related administration
  • Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation (BBBEE, BCEA, LRA)
