ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Hospital Manager you will be responsible for leading the clinical and operational teams to deliver high-quality patient-centred care. You will manage daily hospital operations, ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement through evidence-based practices. This is a pivotal role for a leader who thrives on innovation, collaboration and compassionate care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide operational leadership to clinical and non-clinical teams within the hospital.
  • Plan and oversee daily operations to ensure efficient, safe and high-quality patient care delivery.
  • Use data (qualitative and quantitative) to monitor and report on hospital performance.
  • Implement the organisation’s policies, procedures and systems to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable workplace culture in which individual employees can thrive.
  • Manage staffing, workforce planning and recruitment in collaboration with HR.
  • Contribute to organisational quality‑improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, employees and other internal and external stakeholders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Applicant must hold current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse or full registration with the HPCSA and bring solid hands‑on experience within a clinical care setting.
  • Proven experience working within an ICU / High‑care unit is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing a team of more than 25 people.
