ROLE PROFILE

Head of Finance

What You’ll Do

As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of all financial operations across Bob, ensuring sustainable growth, financial integrity, and operational excellence.

• Leading and mentoring the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
• Overseeing day-to-day financial operations across all Bob entities.
• Managing cash flow, payments, and debt collection to ensure financial stability.
• Acting as the primary contact with banking partners, auditors, and tax authorities.
• Developing, implementing, and ensuring adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and processes.
• Driving accurate and timely month‑end close, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Overseeing payroll, VAT, statutory returns, and compliance filings.
• Providing strategic insights and financial modelling to support decision‑making by the executive team.
• Partnering with business units to analyse financial performance, identify opportunities, and resolve operational or technical issues.
• Supporting long‑term growth through forecasting, scenario planning, and risk management.
• Ensuring customer experience excellence in billing and finance‑related interactions.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Essential – Bcom (Hons) specialisation in Accounting Science
• Professional qualification: Essential – Registered Chartered Accountant (SA) (SAICA)
• Experience: Finance experience – 7+ years post‑articles experience in a finance role, with at least 2+ years in a management position. Industry‑related – Experience in e‑commerce, fintech, or technology‑driven businesses would be an advantage. Proven track record in financial management, compliance, and team leadership. Working with Sage Intacct will be considered advantageous.
