Introduction

We are looking for a Hatchery Manager in the Lichtenburg area as well as an Assistant Hatchery Manager.

Must be able to relocate - Salary plus housing

Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of hatchery operations
• Managing all technical and administrative aspects of the hatchery
• Coordinate the ongoing protocol of Biosecurity
• Prepares estimate of revenue and expenditure and manage approved budget allocation
• Compile and present reports as required on technical aspects
• Planning set per flock
• Arranging transport for chicks and egg collections
• Managing stock intake and outgoing stock
• Managing weekly graphs and reports
• Calibrating setters and hatchers
• Oversee night shift staff
• Oversee plant room
• Boiler and chiller maintenance

Garden and terrain maintenance

• Communication and discipline
• Motivation and organization
• Client relationship (Egg Sales)

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12
• Tertiary Education will be to your advantage
• Solid and proven working experience as a Hatchery Manager
