The Group Platform Finxact Head is responsible for overseeing the strategic and initial operational management of the organization's Finxact platform implementation.

The role will oversee product design via the Finxact Design authority, platform configuration across the product lifecycle and oversight of channel and platform integration to key capabilities across all of our channels and capabilities.

The role will partner with the Finxact CIO and the offices of both the Group CDO and Group Platform and Payments.

What you will be doing
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategy for the Finxact system implementation.
  • Oversee initial system set-up and create a business structure to support ongoing activities to oversee both project and Finxact BAU initiatives.
  • Champion the product migration strategy from existing core banking solutions to Finxact; leverage the programme to improve banking efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
  • Accountability for new product innovation and creation of new revenue opportunities.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily Finxact operations in close partnership with the internal Finxact CIO.
  • Oversee initial system set-up, create and staff support structures to ensure the smooth running and implementation of Finxact.
  • Ensure system integration, automation and reconciliation between banking platforms and internal systems.
Risk and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Ensure proper controls are in place for fraud prevention, AML, and transaction monitoring.
Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Finxact vendor relationship.
  • Oversee Finxact project delivery and manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
People and Performance Management
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Finxact product team.
  • Set performance objectives and provide regular feedback and coaching.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
You will be an ideal candidate
  • Have completed a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Have exposure product management, system integration, payments and previous experience in large project delivery within the FirstRand group.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years related bank and project experience.
  • At least 3+ years' experience in a leadership job.
