Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Ensure that housekeeping is done on a daily basis.
- Handle all work in process in the trailer repair workshop.
- Provide excellent pre- and post-sale service.
- Ensure work is completed daily and within the quoted hours and delivery date, as per quotation and agreement with the client.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Evaluate damaged trailers.
- Build strong and sound customer relationships.
- Liaise with clients and estimators daily to ensure proper planning.
- Perform quality control on work throughout the repair process.
- Inspect materials daily in liaison with stores to ensure proper material planning.
- Maintain discipline on the floor and ensure targets are reached.
- Evaluate the skill levels of the production team.
- Provide additional training to the team where needed.
- Manage labor hours daily, including overtime.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
- Matric qualification.
- Well acquainted with health and safety regulations and ensure they are practiced accordingly.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trailer manufacturing and repairs.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Trade qualification (Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter) is an advantage.
- Own transport.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Extensive knowledge of trailers and trailer parts.
- Experience in business development, finding new clients, and maintaining client relations.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills.
