A specialist recruitment consultancy is seeking a Financial Business Analyst on behalf of a leading client for a 6-month contract based in Johannesburg. This role offers the chance to combine financial analysis, business intelligence and project support within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Duties

• Conducting detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making
• Performing business intelligence analysis, including building and interpreting data models
• Supporting and contributing to project management activities
• Preparing financial reports, insights and recommendations
• Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver accurate outputs
• Using advanced Excel, Power Query and Power BI to transform and analyse data
• Ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness across all financial and analytical deliverables

Requirements

• A BCom in Accounting or Financial Management
• 5-10 years' experience in financial analysis or business analytics
• Strong business intelligence capability, including data modelling
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and Power BI
• Solid project management experience
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
• The ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
