Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in South Africa is seeking a skilled financial administrator to prepare and analyse monthly financial reports, manage project budgets, and ensure compliance with financial policies. The ideal candidate will have a relevant diploma or degree and 3 to 4 years of experience in an administrative or accounting environment. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Sage 300 (Accpac) are advantageous. Own transport is required for this role.

Job description
Key Performance Areas
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyse monthly financial reports and budgets, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Track and manage various project and operational budgets
  • Ensure accurate allocation of expenditure and income
  • Prepare journals and reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting
  • Ensure adherence to organisational and project-specific procurement, financial, and administrative policies and procedures
  • Produce accurate financial forecasts aligned with project milestones and timelines
  • Support audit processes at both organisational and project levels
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant 3-year diploma/degree, or be in the process of completing one
  • A strong financial and administrative background with 3 to 4 years’ experience in an admin or accounting environment
  • Strong computer literacy, organisational skills, and excellent analytical and reconciliation abilities
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Adaptability with the capacity to respond efficiently to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 (Accpac) will be advantageous
  • Own transport
