Job description

Our client is a fast-scaling iGaming and sports betting group operating across multiple regulated African markets. The CEO is building at speed, and they are looking for a high-calibre Executive Assistant to become the operational backbone of the business.

You will sit at the centre of growth, strategy, and execution — trusted with sensitive information, exposed to board-level decision-making, and empowered to manage complexity at scale.

This is a role for someone who does not simply react to the business, but helps steer it.

Your Role in the Business

You will act as the CEO's right hand — protecting time, driving structure, and ensuring the business operates with pace and clarity.

Your key job responsibilities as Executive Assistant to CEO
  • End-to-end diary, meeting, and travel management across multiple countries and time zones
  • Anticipating scheduling conflicts, re‑prioritising in real time, and protecting executive focus
  • Preparing board packs, executive reports, agendas, briefing documents, and action trackers
  • Managing highly confidential communications and sensitive business matters
  • Acting as first point of contact for senior stakeholders, regulators, partners, and advisors
  • Coordinating executive, regulatory, investor, and leadership meetings
  • Tracking strategic priorities, action lists, deadlines, and follow‑ups
  • Drafting and screening correspondence on behalf of the CEO
  • Liaising with legal, finance, compliance, technology, and operations teams
  • Supporting presentations, strategy documents, and leadership communications
  • Managing ad‑hoc operational requests and high‑impact special projects
Who Will Succeed in This Role

You bring structure to complexity and clarity to fast‑moving environments. You are commercially aware, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable operating at the highest level of the business.

Requirements for this Executive Assistant to CEO role in Cape Town, South Africa

  • Strong business acumen and sound judgement
  • High levels of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Confidence engaging with senior leaders and external stakeholders
  • Strong technical capability: Google Workspace, MS Office, Slack, Zoom/Teams

Experience in iGaming, sports betting, fintech, payments, or regulated industries is highly advantageous.

Personality & Working Style

You are:

  • Strategic, proactive, and commercially minded
  • Calm under pressure and decisive when priorities collide
  • Comfortable pushing back and protecting executive focus
  • Detail‑driven, solution‑oriented, and dependable
  • Energised by responsibility, complexity, and pace

You operate at CEO level — and you enjoy the challenge.

Why Join
