Position Overview

SMD Technologies is seeking a young, ambitious professional to join our organisation as an Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. This role offers exceptional growth opportunities, providing exposure to all areas of the business, including executive operations, strategy, legal matters, stakeholder engagement, and day-to-day leadership functions.

The ideal candidate holds a BCom degree, Legal degree, or equivalent qualification, and is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Managing Director’s diary, appointments, and daily schedule.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, conferences, and internal/external engagements.
  • Make all necessary arrangements for travel, transport, and accommodation (local and international).
  • Assist with time management, task prioritisation, and workflow coordination.
  • Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, executives, and partners.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting packs, reports, presentations, and formal correspondence.
  • Reconcile expenses, maintain records, and manage reimbursements.
  • Handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Support the Managing Director across all business activities as needed.
