A global quality assurance firm in Durban is seeking a part-time Supply Chain Auditor. The role involves conducting audits of manufacturing sites to ensure compliance with international standards in labor rights, health, and safety. Candidates must have a higher education degree in a relevant field, be APSCA registered, and possess auditing experience. Strong command of English is essential for effective communication during audits and client interactions. You will be expected to :
Audit the manufacturing sites of our clients' suppliers, sometimes without warning.
Your areas of attention will include labor rights, health and safety, environmental security, and others, according to the applicable international standard or the client's in-house procedure.
Be alert to any violations, staying vigilant when dealing with factory management, and recording all your findings in detailed reports to be delivered to the client.
Approach your job with utmost integrity, as your conduct during an audit can have lasting consequences for the supplier, factory staff, and our clients.
Provide your expertise in client meetings, to create custom quality control procedures based on their specific requirements.
Contribute your ideas for improving the quality of our Operations projects.
A higher education degree in Engineering, Law, Economics, Social Sciences or a related major.
APSCA registered at CSCA level (Mandatory).
Work experience in 3rd party auditing.
Experience in Environmental Audit.
WRAP or mixed audits done in recent 12 months.
Have good command of English (spoken and written).
