Job summary

A local healthcare provider is seeking a Registered Nurse for a fixed-term post from January 5, 2026, to December 31, 2026. You will manage a caseload of clients facing drug and alcohol issues, providing assessments and one-on-one support. The role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and a driving licence for work. No prior experience is needed, but a positive work attitude is essential. Position

Registered Nurse – Fixed Term Post (5th January 2026 – 31st December 2026)

Location: Osprey House, NHS Scotland.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients with drug and alcohol issues.
  • Provide screening, assessments and ongoing 1:1 support as required.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and as an autonomous practitioner with caseload supervision.
  • Maintain a 12.5‑hour shift pattern over Monday to Saturday.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with keen interest in drug and alcohol recovery services.
  • Good interpersonal, organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
  • No previous experience necessary but a positive approach to working within the Service is essential.
