Job summary

A leading retail group is seeking a qualified HR Professional based in Durban, who will also travel to Bloemfontein for 2 weeks monthly. Candidates must have at least 5 years of HR experience as a Generalist, have strong skills in Industrial Relations and Recruitment, and possess a National Diploma in HR. The role involves representing the company at the CCMA, conducting trade union negotiations, and overseeing recruitment processes. Only South African citizens need apply.

Overview

My client, a leading Retail Group, wants to reward a suitably qualified and experienced HR Professional with an exciting career opportunity.

Location & Travel

The position is based in Durban, KZN. The incumbent will also spend 2 weeks a month in Bloemfontein, servicing the Free State branches.

Requirements
  • Human Resources experience of at least 5 years as a Generalist.
  • Sound experience in Industrial Relations and Recruitment & Selection (ESSENTIAL).
  • Retail experience will be a HUGE advantage.
  • Qualification of at least a National Diploma in the HR field.
  • Good planning, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Effective writing skills in English.
  • Must be fluent in at least one African language.
  • Must have represented an employer at the CCMA at Arbitration level.
Essential
  • Must have liaised / negotiated with Trade Unions.
  • Must have a Code 08 driving license and be willing to travel extensively.
  • Must have a valid passport.
  • SA Citizens only.
  • Must have Criminal Clear.
  • Must reside in Durban.
  • Must also be willing to spend 2 weeks a month in Bloemfontein servicing the Free State Branches.
Duties
