Job description

Responsibilities

• Professionally and calmly interact with suppliers and travel planners via phone and email.
• Creatively plan and design unique, tailor-made itineraries.
• Handle reservation requests received telephonically or via email.
• Manage reservations from quoting to finalization, including invoicing and travel documentation.
• Deliver exceptional service to direct guests.
• Proactively promote and sell travel products and services to ensure optimal safari experiences.
• Participate on Saturday and public holiday duties, as well as cell phone standby on a rotation basis.
• Work shifts on a rotational schedule (07 : 00 15 : 30 and 09 : 30 18 : 00)
• Provide backup support for team members when necessary.
• Continually expand product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Demonstrate a proactive, independent, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Uphold the companys core values : care for people, care for the land, and care for wildlife.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in a reservations role, preferably within a tour operating environment (not hotel or car rental-based)
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Strong destination knowledge of key markets : Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda, Seychelles.
• Sound understanding of FIT and group travel policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant Safari Offers.
• Experience using Tour plan reservations system (advantageous)
• Customer-focused with a creative, flexible, and patient approach.
• Passion for the travel industry and guest service excellence.
