The incumbent of this role is responsible for driving the digital presence and engagement.
This individual will manage campaign planning, content scheduling, social media activity, digital promotional content, and supplier advertising placements.
They will work closely with internal teams, designers, and suppliers to ensure cohesive and impactful digital marketing execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive year-round marketing campaign and promotion calendar.
- Align campaigns with key travel seasons, global events, supplier promotions, and business objectives.
- Manage and update all Travel.co.za social media pages: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Plan, draft, schedule, and publish posts that align with brand tone, campaigns, and performance goals.
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments / messages, and optimise performance across platforms.
- Track competitor activity and identify opportunities for growth and engagement.
- Build and maintain a structured monthly content calendar aligned with the marketing campaign calendar; collaborate with design teams or creators to produce compelling visuals, videos, and copy.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and brand identity across all channels.
Website Promotional Content
- Upload and maintain promotional content across the Travel.co.za website.
- Coordinate with designers and product teams to ensure deals, banners, and landing pages are up to date.
- Optimise content for user engagement, SEO, and conversion.
Email New Plan
- Email marketing: build, and send email newsletters aligned with the marketing calendar.
- Craft compelling subject lines, calls-to-action, and content to drive traffic and bookings.
- Segment audiences to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Analyse performance data and adjust strategy accordingly.
Monthly Digital Magazine (Travel by TTS)
- Plan and compile monthly magazine content themes, articles, and promotional features.
- Prepare and hand over content briefs to designers to ensure accurate representation of campaigns.
- Coordinate with internal and supplier partners to source deals, stories, and visuals.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in Digital Marketing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.
- High attention to detail and deadline-driven.
