Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Pastry Chef in creating and developing new pastry and dessert recipes
  • Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and bread for our guests
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to company standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and other members of the culinary team
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as the dining room and galley, to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Actively participate in menu planning and development
  • Assist with ordering and receiving of pastry supplies and ingredients
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef De Partie Pastry in a high-volume, fine dining establishment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry and baking
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
