Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join a leading manufacturing firm specializing in the remanufacturing of automotive components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial and cost accounting at a factory level, including budgeting, financial reporting, and executive presentations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements
  • Diploma/B.Com Degree or equivalent (articles served preferred)
  • 5+ years in manufacturing, preferably automotive remanufacturing
  • 2-3 years of people management
  • Proficiency in job/process costing and financial modeling
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage financial statements, budgets, and costing models
  • Compile Bills of Materials (BOMs) in collaboration with production and stores
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts (cashbook, petty cash, WIP)
  • Present monthly management reports to executives
  • Assist in VOMS forecasting, annual stock counts, and audit processes
  • Implement and maintain costing systems (e.g., Embrace) and ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements
  • Supervise a small team (±2-3 people) and collaborate with cross-functional departments
  • Ensure compliance with COID, Tax, VAT, and MIBCO regulations
