Qualifications

  • 6+ years’ experience in corporate finance or financial analysis.
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial software.

Our client is looking for a Corporate Finance Specialist to join their dynamic team in the JHB North office.

As the Corporate Finance Specialist, you will play a critical role in evaluating the financial feasibility of new projects, performing in‑depth financial analysis, and mitigating financial risks. You will support projects from inception through to completion, managing financing processes, negotiating funding solutions, and presenting insights to Executive Leadership.

You will also be responsible for analysing credit risk, interpreting financial and legal data, and ensuring robust financial governance across project and operating companies.

Duties
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for project and investment analysis
  • Engage and negotiate with lenders and financial advisers to secure funding
  • Manage financial close, loan compliance, drawdowns, and gearing levels
  • Conduct investment analysis, including mergers, acquisitions, and strategic opportunities
  • Assess financial, market, and credit risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness and make informed credit decisions
  • Review monthly financial performance and support budgeting and audits
  • Prepare and present financial and investment reports to executive committees and boards
Job Experience & Skills Required
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Honours/Master’s degree advantageous
  • CA(SA), CFA, or similar preferred
Experience
  • 6+ years’ experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, or similar roles
  • Strong financial modeling, data analysis and reporting capability
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial software/ERP systems
