JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate the implementation and ongoing application of the 20 Keys methodology throughout and across the entire Group Value Chain.
  • Design efficient production processes to eliminate waste and make the most of every resource involved in manufacturing.
  • Train employees at all levels on the 20 Keys principles and tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, including all HR related training and induction. To include mentoring and coaching all relevant staff to ensure standards, processes, and practices.
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes, procedures, and systems by using 20 Keys tools like Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams, and process flow analysis.
  • Lead efforts to eliminate waste (non-value-added activities) in all areas of the business, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the 20 Keys program, tracking progress and identifying areas for further development.
  • Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure buy-in and active participation in the 20 Keys program.
  • Prepare regular reports on the progress and impact of the 20 Keys program, communicating findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Stay up to date on best practices in continuous improvement methodologies and adapt the 20 Keys program to changing business needs.
  • Ensure that all continuous improvement initiatives align with safety and quality standards, promoting a culture of zero harm.
  • Motivating and empowering employees to participate in improvement initiatives, building a culture of continuous learning and encouraging a mindset of ongoing improvement and innovation.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Relevant Degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related field
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • 2 - 5 Years experience in leading and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives in a poultry / FMCG environment
  • Exposure to Human Resources and Payroll practices will be beneficial
  • Strong understanding of the 20 Keys methodology and its practical application
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (incl. Advanced Excel)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other relevant methodologies is often beneficial
