About the Role

LexisNexis Canada is seeking a hands‑on Content Operations Technical Lead to support Canadian online content production.

You will build and maintain new/replacement sources, perform user acceptance testing for new features and product launches, monitor data flows from editorial to online, and resolve markup/conversion issues for online titles.

You will also automate workflows to streamline editorial work and help evolve our conversion specifications, markup manuals, and data standards.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain new and replacement sources for all Canadian content types; perform online conversion troubleshooting end‑to‑end.
  • Analyze input data (XML/HTML/Word) to ensure proper conversion handling, metadata accuracy, and compliance with conversion specifications.
  • Resolve XML markup issues for online analytical titles; engage and collaborate as needed.
  • Execute user acceptance test plans/cases for new features and products; verify functional and non‑functional requirements.
  • Track defects (Azure DevOps), partner with Engineers/QA/Product to triage and validate fixes; reduce defect escape rate to production.
  • Maintain QA checklists, business rules, and acceptance criteria for Canadian content.
  • Monitor data pipelines from editorial through conversion to online platforms; diagnose and remediate data and conversion errors.
  • Coordinate with editorial, product owners to minimize time‑to‑resolution; document root cause analysis and preventive actions.
  • Address customer concerns by prioritizing issues, investigating complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Participate in special projects that require data‑based solutions supporting new product features and online functionality.
Qualifications
  • 2‑4 years in online content production, conversion, or digital publishing (legal / tax / financial content preferred) in French and English.
  • Experience with Python, XML, XSD, and markup troubleshooting, and familiarity with of XSLT and XPath.
  • Experience monitoring content data flows and resolving conversion/online issues in production.
  • Systems thinking & troubleshooting – diagnosis across content, conversion, and platform layers.
  • Detail orientation & quality – precision in markup, metadata, and specs.
  • Collaboration & stakeholder management – clear communication under pressure.
  • Learning agility – adapts quickly to new tools, builds pipelines, and product requirements.
  • Documentation & standards – codifies best practices; establishes a backup process.
  • Strong documentation skills (conversion specs, markup manuals, standards) and quality mindset.
  • Excellent cross‑functional communication; able to partner with editorial, product, IT, and vendors.
