About The Role

LexisNexis Canada seeks a hands-on Content Operations Technical Lead to support Canadian online content production.

The role includes building and maintaining new / replacement sources, performing user acceptance testing for new features and product launches, monitoring data flows from editorial to online, and resolving markup / conversion issues for online titles.

Automation of workflows will also be key.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain new and replacement sources for all Canadian content types; perform online conversion troubleshooting end-to-end.

Analyze input data (XML / HTML / Word) to ensure proper conversion handling, metadata accuracy, and compliance with conversion specifications.

Resolve XML markup issues for online analytical titles; coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders as needed.

Execute user acceptance test plans and cases for new features and products; verify functional and non-functional requirements.

Track defects (Azure DevOps), partner with Engineers, QA, and Product to triage and validate fixes; reduce defect escape rate to production.

Maintain QA checklists, business rules, and acceptance criteria for Canadian content.

Monitor data pipelines from editorial through conversion to online platforms; diagnose and remediate data and conversion errors.

Coordinate with editorial, product owners to minimize time-to-resolution; document root cause analysis and preventive actions.

Address customer concerns by prioritizing issues, investigating complaints, and resolving problems.

Participate in special projects requiring data-based solutions to support new product features and online functionality.

Qualifications

2-4 years in online content production, conversion, or digital publishing (legal, tax, or financial content preferred) in French and English.

Experience with Python.

Demonstrated experience with XML, XSD, and markup troubleshooting, as well as familiarity with XSLT and XPath.

Experience monitoring content data flows and resolving conversion / online issues in production.

Systems thinking and troubleshooting – diagnose across content, conversion, and platform layers.

Detail orientation and quality focus – precision in markup, metadata, and specifications.

Collaboration and stakeholder management – clear communication under pressure.

Learning agility – adapts quickly to new tools, builds pipelines, and meets product requirements.

Documentation and standards – codifies best practices; establishes backup processes.

Strong documentation skills (conversion specs, markup manuals, standards) and a quality mindset.

Excellent cross‑functional communication – partners with editorial, product, IT, and vendors.
