Job summary

A staffing company is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager in Gauteng to oversee and manage electrical operations across multiple construction sites. The ideal candidate must have a Wiremans License, extensive hands-on site experience, and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include supervising teams, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating site activities. This role demands travel between sites and requires a qualified Electrician with significant supervisory experience. A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Wiremans License (registered and valid) is essential.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a qualified Electrician in construction.
  • 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience in an electrical environment.
  • Solid understanding of electrical compliance and safety standards (e.g., SANS).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of 6-8 electricians on various construction projects.
  • Conduct and verify Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for completed electrical work.
  • Ensure compliance with SANS regulations and safety standards.
  • Coordinate site activities and manage timelines and productivity.
  • Conduct regular site inspections across various project locations.
  • Report project progress and issues to management.
  • Liaise with contractors and client representatives.
