Head of Commercial – Digital Out-of-Home Advertising | JohannesburgAn innovative Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising company is seeking an experienced Head of Commercial to lead national revenue growth across its digital screen media portfolio. This senior role is ideal for a confident, results-oriented professional with a strong track record in media sales—particularly within the South African OOH landscape.

You’ll take ownership of commercial strategy, drive sales performance, and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced and evolving market. Role Details : Location : Rosebank, Johannesburg (onsite initially).

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities : Lead the commercial function, overseeing sales performance across digital OOH assets. Develop and execute sales strategies to drive media bookings and maximise asset occupancy. Build and maintain strong relationships with media agencies and direct clients. Provide data-driven sales insights and reporting to senior leadership. Register and onboard with key agency networks and ensure optimal brand visibility. Identify new business opportunities and innovate to stay ahead of market trends.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Candidate Requirements: Minimum 5 years in a senior sales or commercial leadership role in media or advertising. Deep understanding of DOOH (Digital Out-of-Home) advertising formats and value proposition. Proven success in driving revenue and meeting ambitious targets in a competitive environment. Strong network in the South African media industry, including agencies and advertisers. Experience working with or within established OOH players is highly advantageous. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
