The Future Evidence Foundation aspires to dramatically improve lives by changing the way the world creates and uses trustworthy knowledge.

We are a partner of the What Works Climate Solutions Initiative, focusing on ensuring policymakers and the climate community have equal access to trusted evidence which will ultimately improve the health of the planet and humankind.

Role

The Climate Evidence Network Manager will build, coordinate and support the What Works Climate Solutions Network, as well as other climate communities of practice.

Founded in May , the WWCS-Network serves as a forum for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration.

The Network aims to enhance the use of high‑quality evidence in climate decision‑making by :

  • Ensuring evidence meets policymakers’ needs.
  • Promoting reliable approaches for synthesizing evidence.
  • Fostering shared solutions and breaking down silos.
  • Encouraging collaboration across sectors.
  • Establishing best practices in evidence use.

This is a fixed term role - running for approximately 2 years.

We are open to Full Time or Part Time working hours.

About You

We are looking for someone with existing and growing networks within climate communities and decision makers, particularly in low‑and mid‑income countries.

You have strong communication skills in English with bilingual French highly desirable.

You are ideally based in Africa.

You will be experienced in :

  • partnership management and delivery
  • coordinating, presenting at and hosting regular meetings and forums
  • identifying evidence needs of a community - ideally you have research experience
  • prioritizing and communicating progress of addressing communities needs
  • identifying and establishing collaboration opportunities among the community

Excitingly for this role, you will also be building towards the next Summit in late / early .

This will involve :

  • communications with funders and decision‑makers
  • contributing to planning and preparation with both funders and evidence users
  • securing the network's presence and relevance to the geography of the Summit

A degree in an environmentally focused field, and an advanced degree (masters, PhD or similar) related to the production and / or use of evidence would be an advantage.

You will be able to travel freely and frequently across Africa.

Travel to Europe will be required on an annual or semi‑annual basis.
