Job summary

A luxury hotel is looking for passionate Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie candidates in George. This position offers an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals to showcase their skills. Chef de Partie & Demi Chef de Partie | Luxury Hotel | George

Salary : R13,000 per month | Live Out

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking passionate and driven Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie candidates for a renowned luxury hotel in George . This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled culinary professionals who thrive in a high‑paced environment and are committed to delivering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present food to 5-star standards, taking into account guest preferences and dietary requirements

Assist in developing new dishes and menu concepts to support revenue growth opportunities

Support the Sous Chef with tasks such as menu writing and trend research

Maintain par stock levels, manage costing, conduct stock rotation, and participate in stock takes

Supervise, train, and manage kitchen staff performance

Ensure that all operating equipment is properly maintained and cared for

Adhere to strict health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including cleanliness, recycling, pest control, and waste management

Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent

Minimum 6 months of formal chef training

At least 3 years’ experience as a Demi Chef in a 4-star or 5-star hospitality environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and team‑oriented attitude

Computer literacy on MS Office; experience with SAP is advantageous

Physically and mentally fit to meet the demands of the role

Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment

Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts as required

Must have own accommodation in George or surrounding areas
