A leading packaging solutions provider in Cape Town seeks an experienced professional to assist the Financial Manager in sourcing packaging and optimizing logistics. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in the flexible packaging industry, along with skills in procurement and production planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential. This role offers a negotiable CTC package ranging from R35,000 to R40,000, and candidates must meet all specified requirements to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Manager in sourcing packaging from pre-approved manufacturing sites globally.
• Evaluate and compare proposals and select the best option.
• Ensure that the best possible value is obtained by optimizing production and logistics efficiencies.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure that all relevant documentation is accurate and complete.
• Monitor factory performance and ensure that all deliveries are made on time.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise with suppliers, vendors, or clients.
• Maintain technical master files on the ERP system.
• Create Product Specifications, master COC and DOC documents.
• Consult with Sales regarding client forecasts and updating the forecasting model.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Suitable formal qualification will be an advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years in the flexible packaging industry.
• Ideally from estimating, production planning or procurement background.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, highly accurate, organized working methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
