We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Retail & Pharmacy expertise to support a leading retailer in Cape Town. This role is ideal for a dynamic BA who thrives in fast-paced retail environments, understands end-to-end store operations, and can translate business needs into actionable solutions. You will work onsite, collaborating closely with business and IT teams to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and system functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering: Elicit, analyze, and document business needs from stakeholders across the retail value chain (e.g., supply chain, in-store ops, e-commerce).
  • Process Improvement: Map current vs. future state processes, identify gaps, and re-engineer for efficiency, driving best practices.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales, customer, and operational data to find trends, patterns, and actionable insights, often using BI tools.
  • Solution Design: Participate in solution design, define business rules, and ensure system changes meet objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business, IT, and other teams, facilitating workshops and presenting findings.
  • Documentation: Create clear documentation like Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, process flows, and user guides.
  • Testing & Support: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment to ensure solutions work as intended.
