A reputable insurance company in Pretoria is seeking a Business Analyst to gather and validate business requirements, provide data insights, and collaborate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, strong SQL skills, and experience in the insurance sector. The Business Analyst in the Business Enablement team has the responsibility to gather, analyse, document, and validate the needs of the business stakeholders and serves as the principal conduit for managing data insights requirements between the business and the data warehouse development team. Key to this role is the gathering and the interpretation of data in order to meet and solve business requirements. The individual should have the ability to problem solve and present solutions to senior management using data insights. Key to this role is the interpretation of key long-term insurance metrics to enhance the life business strategy. The primary responsibilities are to gather business requirements from business users and subject matter experts, define and document those requirements, write functional specifications, perform data gap analysis between requirements and existing data sources, coordinate with data scientists. Engage the business leads on business requirements and use data and data insights to solution. Interpretation of data is the key function of the business analyst and the subsequent business solutions and requirements
