Job description

We are seeking suitably qualified Branch Managers to oversee all branch operations and ensure alignment with the organizational business goals.

We require a tough-minded individual who can deal with stress and negative feedback effectively, managing pressure from staff, management, and customers, while also meeting business targets.

The ideal candidate should take ownership and lead a profitable, sustainable business unit, contributing to the overall success of the organization. They will oversee and control all operational aspects within the branch to ensure profit and growth.

Ideal candidates will have solid experience in branch and employee management. They will communicate and drive the daily operations of the branch in line with company goals. The role involves managing the independent operations of a branch, handling people matters, customer concerns, and maintaining organizational excellence.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • A Matric / Grade 12 educational qualification.
  • A business-related tertiary qualification would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail management experience, preferably in furniture retail.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Management skills – manage, lead, motivate, develop, and empower branch staff.

The role will:

  • Manage, lead, motivate, develop, and empower branch employees to retain a stable team delivering on business goals.
  • Implement the organization’s business model, manage targets and operations to maintain a healthy, profitable business.
  • Ensure excellent customer service in the branch by actively engaging during customer contact situations, maintaining healthy customer relationships.
  • Manage and control financial responsibilities to stay within company norms and manage business risk.
  • Increase sales by ensuring good customer service and stock management.
  • Ensure stock loss is minimized through compliance with security measures, stock, and cash handling procedures.
  • Drive a low-cost business according to company standards by controlling financial areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure administrative duties within the store comply with company guidelines (NCA & FAIS).
  • Guide, manage, and verify branch operations to ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations.
  • People management including training, mentoring, coaching, and team development.
