Types of bursaries
  • Merit Bursary - Merit Bursaries are awarded based on academic performance as well as holistic performance, attitude, aptitude and need.
  • Merit with Financial Need Bursary - Financial Needs Bursaries are awarded based on academic performance (in line with the Merit Bursary criteria) as well as the financial situation of the applicant, performance, attitude and aptitude.

Eligibility by bursary type:

  • Merit Bursary
    • PGDA/CTA or equivalent – Minimum Average of 70%
    • 4th Year – Minimum Average of 75%
    • 2nd and 3rd Year – Minimum Average of 80%
  • Merit with Financial Need Bursary
    • PGDA/CTA or equivalent – Minimum Average of 60%
    • 4th Year – Minimum Average of 65%
    • 3rd Year – Minimum Average of 70%

  • Academic Standing: Currently in CTA, PGDA, or equivalent (first attempt)
  • Institution: Registered at a SAICA-accredited university
  • Academic Performance: Consistent pass rate history with an average 60% or higher in CTA/PGDA
  • Motivation: A detailed motivation letter is required upon submission
