Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking physically fit and reliable Baggage Handlers to join leading cruise lines for the smooth operation of luggage logistics aboard passenger ships. As a Baggage Handler, you will be responsible for the safe handling, loading, unloading, and distribution of passengers luggage, ensuring a seamless embarkation and disembarkation experience. Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload passenger baggage onto and off the ship in an organized and efficient manner.

• Sort, label, and transport luggage to designated cabins or collection points.

• Operate trolleys, dollies, and conveyor systems safely and effectively.

• Assist passengers with oversized, fragile, or special-needs luggage.

• Work collaboratively with security and guest services to ensure correct identification and delivery of luggage.

• Follow health and safety procedures, particularly regarding lifting and manual handling.

• Report any lost, damaged, or unclaimed luggage to supervisors promptly.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in storage and baggage handling areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Basic understanding of luggage handling processes.

• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy luggage repeatedly.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work under pressure during embarkation/disembarkation.

Experience

Working Hours

• Rotational shipboard schedule (typically 6–8 weeks on, followed by time off).

• Shift-based work during embarkation and disembarkation days.

• May involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on ship schedule.
