SUMMARY

SUMMARY: Our client is looking to appoint an Audit Supervisor / Assistant Audit Manager to strengthen their team.

POSITION INFORMATION

Job Specification: Manages and executes audit engagements to ensure they are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages audit engagements.
  • Issues for reporting in the management letter are identified.
  • Findings and recommendations summarised.
  • Initial findings communicated to the client for client response.
  • Budget monitored and analysed.
  • Sources of overruns identified and appropriate action taken.
  • Potential additional fees identified and justified.
  • Overruns minimised.
  • Maintain efficiency and service standards for the client.
  • Trainees kept up to date on policies and procedures.
  • Recruitment and training processes supported.
  • On‑job coaching and troubleshooting supported.
  • Informal grievances (1st level) addressed.
  • Team atmosphere kept positive.
  • Work is planned and allocated effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Productivity is monitored and maintained.
  • Administration processes completed efficiently according to policies and procedures.
  • Service standards adhered to.
  • Performance monitored and feedback provided as required (including feedback on file reviews).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • B.Com. in Accounting Honours / Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) preferred.
  • Office-based with travel to client sites; occasional national travel required.
  • Overtime is required regularly to meet client deadlines.
  • Own transport and a valid Driver’s License (Code B) preferred.
