Admin Operations Manager – Auto Body Repair Centre - Gauteng, Northern Suburbs – Sandton

Our client, a well approved and highly accredited autobody repair centre, is seeking a hands‑on, results driven Operations Manager to lead their back office and workshop administrative operations.

This role focuses on leading and motivating a high‑performing team, overseeing financial management, HR procedures and processes, ensuring SLA compliance, and liaising with insurance companies and OEMs to ensure the centre operates smoothly and efficiently.

Remuneration

R55 000 – R 60 000 Gross salary p.m. Negotiable depending on experience - Benefits including Provident Fund, UIF

Duties :
  • Oversee and manage the entire back office, including workshop administrators and office staff.
  • Handle HR responsibilities : recruitment, performance management, staff motivation, and training initiatives.
  • Manage financial processes, budgeting, and cost control for the centre.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with SLAs for insurance companies and OEMs.
  • Conduct audits and reporting for insurance and OEM requirements.
  • Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures to ensure efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance partners, OEMs, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the foreman and workshop team through administrative and operational guidance.
  • Prepare operational and financial reports, monitor KPIs, and drive performance improvements.
Requirements :
  • Matric or equivalent.
  • Clean Criminal record.
  • Autobody | Panel shop industry experience as an ops manager - crucial.
  • Experience within operations management within an auto body or automotive workshop environment.
  • Proven experience in HR, financial management, and administrative oversight within an auto body or automotive environment.
  • Strong understanding of SLAs, insurance processes, and OEM requirements.
  • PC Literate - MS Office, Sage accounting & Audatex & TMS.
  • Excellent leadership, motivation, and team management skills.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to implement processes, audits, and reporting systems effectively.
  • Stable, professional, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Sound knowledge of workshop processes, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and supplier relationships effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license – not endorsed and own transport advantageous.
