Requirements

Requirements and Experience
  • Grade 12 (NQF4).
  • A Tertiary Commercial Qualification at NQF level 7.
  • BSC Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or relevant financial degree (BCom, CA).
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant Healthcare experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify trends in a logical, systemic way.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A team player who can work independently when required.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects successfully.
  • Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace.
  • Ability to understand task urgency and prioritize accordingly.
  • High attention to detail, resilience, enthusiasm, and drive.
  • Ethical with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, statistical analysis programs, SQL, and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for reports and presentations.
  • Self-starter attitude.

  • Perform high-level actuarial calculations and data analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize standard tools for data compilation and analysis, predicting performance, and risk analysis.
  • Develop reporting tools for ad-hoc management reports.
  • Contribute to funder product development, partnerships, and event cost analysis.
  • Understand hospital pricing and tariffs.
  • Experience with Alternative Reimbursement Models (ARMs).
  • Produce regular reports to monitor business effectiveness.
  • Create models to evaluate potential gains and losses of business plans.
  • Present data insights in an understandable manner for business decision-making.
