We're Hiring: Accreditation Officer (GIBS)

GIBS is seeking a highly organised and detail‑driven Accreditation Administrator to play a central role in supporting our international accreditation portfolio — AACSB, AMBA, BGA, EQUIS, and AABS. This is a critical position within the Accreditation, Rankings & Quality (ARQ) team, ensuring GIBS maintains its global standing and meets the rigorous standards of top international business school accrediting bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and prepare accreditation documentation, evidence, and submissions for all international and African accreditation bodies.
  • Manage accreditation timelines, stakeholder communication, review meetings, visits, and documentation readiness.
  • Maintain precise version control, data accuracy, and compliance with accreditation requirements.
  • Support institution-wide data management and reporting aligned to accreditation standards.
  • Manage financial processes including payment coordination, documentation, and budget tracking.
  • Strengthen internal collaboration to ensure smooth execution of accreditation and quality initiatives.
What You Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years’ experience in higher education administration or accreditation/quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of compliance, accreditation frameworks, or quality processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance, accreditation, or quality assurance processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in data management, monitoring, and foundational report writing.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS/AABS
  • Understanding of local regulatory bodies and the governance requirements associated with maintaining positive accreditation status (CHE, SAQA, DHET, QCTO)
  • Excellent organisational, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Prompt engineering for generative AI and LLMs.
  • Data management, analysis and documentation skills
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking ability.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in work and deadline driven.
