A leading educational organization in Singapore is seeking a Curriculum Specialist to assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of their Tamil curriculum. Responsibilities include conducting teacher training, developing curriculum content, and supporting centres with SPARK accreditation. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Assist development, implementation and evaluation of the S4K Tamil curriculum. Provide in-house teacher training both local and overseas (upon request)
Plan S4K Tamil curriculum based on the latest MOE’s guidelines, international best practices and S4K’s USP.
Develop, enhance and write Tamil curriculum content writing for all levels, i.e. Pre-Nursery, Nursery, K1 & K2.
Writes Tamil lesson plans and plans supporting resources for the implementation of the virtual modality platform.
Upgrade and fine-tune curriculum upon feedback.
Assist in the development and production of Tamil curriculum materials, including content and artwork.
Assist in planning, developing and updating Tamil curriculum manuals periodically.
Develop, enhance and write English core curriculum for assigned level(s).
Support research and ad hoc projects when applicable.
Conduct in-house teacher training both locally and overseas.
Develop in-house bite-sized training videos on our teachers’ e-learning platform.
Support centres’ programme implementation.
Assist in quarterly-yearly reports on the evaluation of programme implementation.
Visit centres periodically and provide reports on curriculum implementation.
Provide recommendations on improvement in teaching, resources and setting up learning corners.
Provide complementary support to direct centres in preparation for SPARK accreditation.
Work with appointed coordinators in the centres to identify centres’ needs in fulfilling professional requirements for SPARK accreditation.
Ensure staff are well trained in delivering the Tamil curriculum to the children.
Setting up centres within the allocated time.
Produce the termly curriculum materials a month before the centre setup or execution.
Possess at least Degree in Early Childhood Education or Degree in Early Childhood Education with Tamil Studies
At least 5 years EC experience.
