Job summary
A Singapore-based engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in piping systems. The role involves performing stress analysis on piping systems using CAESAR II, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with various engineering disciplines. - Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, client requirements, and relevant industry codes and standards (e.g.,ASME,API).
- Support design: Design and select all piping support components, including springs, constant hangers, guides, and anchors, and prepare corresponding datasheets.
- Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation such as stress analysis reports, critical line lists, specifications, and datasheets.
- Collaboration: Work with other disciplines, including layout, process, and structural, to integrate piping stress requirements into the overall plant design.
- Review and verification: Review vendor documents, isometric drawings, and other engineering deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with stress requirements.
- Technical support: Provide technical support for project-related activities, such as HAZOPs, technical bid evaluations, and design reviews.
- Problem-solving: Analyze and provide solutions for technically challenging projects, addressing issues like vibration, fatigue, and nozzle loads.
