Job summary

A leading air cargo and catering service provider in Singapore is looking for a Technical Inspector to conduct quality inspections and manage production progress. The role requires a degree in Engineering and at least one year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing refurbishment works, and providing training to staff. Candidates should be able to work flexible hours as necessary. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical quality inspections, manage production progress for both new units and refurbishment activities.
  • Assess and report on program performance, including cost, quality, and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards during program inspections.
  • Define material/spares support package and review training contents for induction of new Ground Support Equpment (GSE).
  • Manage in-house technical crew assigned for refurbishment works/support, as well as coordinate requirements, and assist Manager to monitor and manage contractors' refurbishment programs.
  • Maintain proper project documentation, including material data for spares, as well as records of technical quality audit/factory acceptance.
  • Provide technical leadership in repairs, troubleshooting, interpretation of OEM technical documentation, system design and drawings.
  • Provide coaching and training to staff, focusing on elevating competencies and performance.
  • Perform quality inspections for maintenance tasks/jobs to ensure correctness, good standards and quality work.
Key Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant disciplines
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Experience in maintenance, and supervision of work bays in servicing and repairs of automotive/industrial equipment and vehicles (including internal combustion, or electric vehicles/equipment). Identification of test and support equipment, as well as spares needed for maintenance
  • Able to work on weekends or public holidays when required (e.g., during airport emergencies or critical operations)
  • Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license is a plus
