Job summary
A childcare organization in Singapore is looking for an educator proficient in Japanese and English to teach children. Responsibilities include planning activities, tracking progress, and ensuring a safe environment. Ideal candidates should have prior teaching experience and be creative and adaptable.
Qualifications
- Must have native proficiency in both Japanese and English.
- Prior teaching experience in Japanese is preferred.
- Should be independent, creative, and adaptable.
Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate activities for children, including songs and storytelling.
- Set daily routines and offer positive guidance.
- Observe and track children’s learning progress.
Skills
- Plan and facilitate a variety of activities for children, including songs, games, and storytelling.
- Set daily routines, offer positive guidance, and help build children’s self-esteem.
- Deliver lessons based on the centre’s curriculum.
- Observe and track each child’s learning progress.
- Maintain strong communication and relationships with parents, students, and staff.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for all children.
- Supervise, guide, and motivate Assistant Teachers and classroom helpers.
- Follow the centre’s assigned work shift schedule.
- Carry out other related duties when needed.
- Native proficiency in both Japanese and English.
- Prior experience teaching Japanese from Elementary to Intermediate levels is preferred.
- Independent, creative, adaptable, and able to think innovatively.
