Senior Software Engineer / Assistant Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary:

· Salary details: $6000 - $7500 (depending on experience)

· Working Days: 5 days, 8.00am - 5.30pm

· Location of work: Ang Mo Kio

Overview:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with a strong background and passion in software development to work in a team for satellite communication products.

You will be part of our Engineering team in Singapore and be based in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, optimize software solutions, build and test (including automation) high quality, secure products, ensuring scalable and maintainable code.
2. Implement secure coding practices, vulnerability assessments, and security enhancements.
3. Drive continuous improvement through enhancements and post-release support.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software reliability, scalability, and security compliance.
5. Perform work product peer reviews and code reviews regularly.
6. Ensure sufficient technical documentation is provided.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
2. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in C++/Visual C++ and object-oriented programming.
3. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in software development on Linux platform. Familiarity with debugging tools for efficient identification and resolution of software defects. Understanding of Linux OS and its configurations is a plus.
4. Proficiency in build scripting, shell scripting, and Python for automation and system tasks.
5. Experience with version control systems, build tools, and continuous integration.
6. Knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and sockets programming.
7. Solid understanding of network security best practices or experience in enhancing the security of software products is a significant plus.
8. Knowledge of auto testing and test-driven development with Robot framework/Google Test/Google Mock Test is a plus.
9. Knowledge of Satellite communication protocols and IP routing is a plus.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
11. Ability to work with remote teams in different time zones.
