Job summary
A healthcare organization in Singapore is seeking a Clinical Instructor to establish a clinical learning environment and oversee training for nursing staff. The role involves assessing preceptorship schemes, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience in clinical care and preferably a Specialist Diploma in Clinical education. A supportive role to Nurse Managers is key. Salary expectations and notice period requested in application.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in clinical care.
- Preferably have a Specialist Diploma in Clinical education.
Responsibilities
- Establish optimal clinical learning environment.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate preceptorship scheme for new staff.
- Provide OJT training of new staff and assist Nurse Managers.
- Co‑ordinate and organize training activities for nursing staff.
- Plan, implement and evaluate training courses.
- Ensure appropriate orientation and continuing education for staff.
- Monitor patient care delivery according to established standards.
- Act as a resource person to Nurse Manager on clinical matters.
- Prevent medico‑legal issues in relation to patient care.
- Perform summative assessment of nursing staff.
- Develop and conduct hospital‑based training.

- Ensure that patient care delivery is implemented and monitored according to established standards of care and practice.
- Act as a resource person to Nurse Manager on clinical nursing and nursing training matters and issues.
- Apply principles to prevent medico‑legal issues in relation to patient care.
- Perform summative assessment of nursing staff.
- Training and education for other non‑nursing staff/volunteers.
- Develop and conduct hospital‑based training in relation to MOH requirements and organization.
- Min 6 years of experience in clinical care
- Preferably to have a Specialist Diploma in Clinical education
