Senior/ Speech Therapist
Job summary
A healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a Speech Therapist who will be responsible for assessing and managing patients with speech disorders. The role includes diagnosing, educating patients and families on available therapies, and evaluating patient progress. Ideal candidates will have experience working with adults and strong communication skills. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
Qualifications
- Experience working with adults.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders.
- Educating patients and their families on speech disorders and available therapies.
- Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.
The Speech Therapist is responsible for the assessment and management of patients referred for speech therapy.
- Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders.
- Communicating with the patient, and liaising with their family members, physicians to design effective treatment plans.
- Educating patients and their families on speech disorders and available therapies.
- Taking detailed notes on patient history and progress.
- Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.
- Experience working with adults
