Job summary
A healthcare institution in Singapore seeks a qualified medical professional to manage patient care and lead junior doctors and healthcare staff. Responsibilities include overseeing departmental activities, coordinating patient services, and ensuring high standards of care. The ideal candidate must possess a basic medical degree, relevant fellowship, and significant clinical experience. Additional certifications are also required for this position.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years as an Associate Consultant in the relevant discipline.
- Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
- Valid practicing certificate and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
- Oversee professional activities within the Department.
- Coordinate with departments to streamline patient services.
- Review and monitor patient care standards.
Skills
Education
- You will be responsible for the clinical management of the patients under his/her care and work constantly towards improving the quality of patient care. In addition, he/she is expected to take on leadership roles and responsibilities as a clinical supervisor to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals such as nurses and allied health staff.
- To oversee and be accountable for the professional activities within the Department.
- To coordinate and work closely with wards, departments at the Hospital and other hospitals to streamline processes to achieve seamless services for our patients.
- To review and monitor patient care in his/her Department so as to provide the highest standards of patient care.
- To encourage a multidisciplinary approach to patient care through enhanced interdepartmental coordination and cooperation that will result in a total approach to patient care.
- Possess a basic medical degree and Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) or equivalent qualification registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
- Possess Fellowship of the College of Family Physicians (FCFP) qualification
- Consultant requires a minimum of 2 years as an Associate Consultant (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline
- Possess Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
- Possess a valid practicing certificate with the Singapore Medical Council
- Accredited and registered into the Family Physician Accreditation Board (FPAB)
- Possess a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
