Job summary
A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is looking for a detail-oriented individual for a finance role. Responsibilities include entering financial information into systems, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and experience with data entry and accounting software, especially Sage. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience with data entry and familiarity with accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Enter financial information into the accounting system with high accuracy.
- Check and confirm the accuracy of all entered data.
- Maintain orderly digital and physical financial records.

- Enter financial information from sources such as invoices, receipts, and purchase orders into the accounting system and databases with high accuracy.
- Check and confirm the accuracy of all entered data, resolving any errors or mismatches found.
- Update general ledger entries and support the reconciliation and balancing of accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain orderly digital and physical financial records to support audits and reporting requirements.
- Assist in generating weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc financial reports and summaries.
- Work closely with the finance team to troubleshoot data issues and uphold data accuracy.
- Help ensure all documents and records are properly filed and organized.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience with data entry and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of accounting fundamentals (debits, credits, general ledger).
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Strong numerical ability and analytical skills.
