Job summary
A corporate services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage client portfolios. You will coordinate all accounting aspects, ensure regulatory compliance, and review financial statements in accordance with Singapore standards. Candidates should possess a CPA or ACCA and have 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting firm, with strong analytical and leadership skills. This role offers opportunities for client interaction and team development.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ experience in a professional accounting firm handling accounting and payroll matters.
- Hands-on experience in handling a full set of accounts.
- Sound grounding in accounting principles and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage accounting aspects of client portfolios.
- Work with accounting professionals on daily duties.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships.
- Ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met.
- Review management accounts and financial statements.
Skills
Education
- Coordinate and manage all accounting aspects of assigned client’s portfolios
- Work with a team of accounting professionals in daily accounting duties
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and potential clients
- Contribute and identify opportunity to market our service to potential clients and support team to achieve revenue target
- Ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met for all clients
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Review and ensure the management accounts and the financial statements are properly drawn up in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
- Prepare group consolidated accounts and financial statements
- Support teams with answering complex accounting matters and queries
- Liaise directly with auditors and manage audit process to ensure deadlines are met
- Conduct sharing or training sessions on technical aspects with the team
- Support continuous assessment of procedures and controls and implement process improvements as necessary
- Coach junior staff to achieve team and company goals as well as individual performance standards
- Other ad‑hoc projects
- Required level and content of education: Possess a CPA with a recognized accounting body or ACCA or its equivalent
- Business experience required: 3–5 years’ experience in a professional accounting firm handling accounting and payroll matters; hands‑on experience in handling a full set of accounts with sound grounding in accounting principles; well‑versed in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards; willing to be hands‑on and capable of driving changes and initiatives; analytical, meticulous with excellent leadership qualities; possess professional qualities with good communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork.
