Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities
- Manage Operations and engineering for CI/CD tools, SRE enablers, PaaS platforms, and observability services within EASRE.
- Explore and evaluate new technologies to enhance future capabilities and solve upcoming challenges.
- Champion the adoption of DevOps best practices and SDLC across the bank.
- Build software and systems to automate infrastructure and application management.
- Deploy, support, and monitor new and existing platforms, services, and application stacks.
- Lead the containerization initiative for EASRE, building and designing functions to support PaaS migrations.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, including capacity planning and platform management.
- Design automation tools and execute plans for a secure, highly available CI/CD environment.
- Improve system monitoring and alerting to reduce incident response times and decrease false positives.
- Enhance system logging and benchmarking to fine‑tune infrastructure and resolve performance issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to improve system performance through upgrades.
- Work with SRE and DevOps Engineering to roll out enablers and manage SRE tools and operations.
- Oversee the command center control and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of IT Operations, Incident, and Problem management.
- Proven experience in leading teams of 10 or more members.
- 10-15 years of experience in DevOps, Middleware, Database, Application development, or Infrastructure roles.
- Expertise in deployment and management processes for infrastructure and application components.
- Experience with large‑scale system administration, open‑source technologies, and tools like Ansible, Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket, Nexus.
- Advanced scripting skills in Shell, Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
- Advanced Linux System Administration skills, fluency with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and experience with configuration management systems.
- Communication: Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, with a strong focus on documenting support procedures for proper environment maintenance.
- Leadership: Collaborative leadership style to gather and incorporate technical and business requirements into actionable plans.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess design decisions and evaluate operational trade‑offs to meet business goals.
- Professionalism & Adaptability: A self‑driven, innovative leader with a strong focus on delivery and flexibility to adapt to evolving needs.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
