Qualifications

  • Experience in trade finance roles, especially with guarantees and letters of credit.
  • Metals and/or dry bulk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of trade product documentation with sales contracts.
  • Handle guarantees, standby letters of credit, and letters of credit for import/export.
  • Track ongoing trades and liaise with banks for quotes.

Job description

The hiring company is one of the leading commodity trading conglomerates established in Southeast Asiaand has business presence worldwide.

The role of the Trade Finance Executive will be based out of its Singapore office in the CBD area. Successful candidate will be one who will provide daily trade finance support to ongoing business.

This position is a part of the Trade Finance team, directly managing the trade finance duties for the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure trade product documentation comply with sales contract
  • Handle guarantees, standby letters of credit, and letters of credit for import and export
  • Ensure documents are compliant
  • Track ongoing trades
  • Liaise with banks for RMA, confirmation and discounting quotes

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of UCP and incoterms
  • Metals and/or dry bulk experience
  • Diligent, proactive and an eye for detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
