Technical Support Officer (Aviation Management / Aerospace Engineering)

The Role: Technical Support Officer (Aviation Management / Aerospace Engineering)

Facilitate the organization and execution of classes, workshops, and events, ensuring laboratory facilities and equipment are used safely and efficiently.

Provide support to academic staff by overseeing students during laboratory sessions and demonstrations, including conducting preliminary trial runs as needed.

Manage the preparation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of laboratory materials and equipment, liaising with external vendors for repairs and maintenance.

Perform various administrative functions such as procurement, asset tagging, inventory verification, receiving deliveries, and assisting with annual stock audits.

Uphold compliance with QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety) protocols, including emergency procedures and the correct disposal of chemical and biohazardous materials.

What are we looking for?

Diploma in Aerospace Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, or Aviation Management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in administrative tasks.

Ability to coordinate and support laboratory activities, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

Experience in handling laboratory equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with QEHS standards and procedures, especially regarding laboratory safety and waste management.
