Job description

We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead and manage medical audit operations, oversee clinical governance programs, and drive compliance and quality improvement initiatives. This role encompasses strategic oversight of data analytics, medico-legal case coordination, financial governance, and training programs, while collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to advance patient safety within a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the medical audit team including recruitment, performance management, training, and operational planning
  • Oversee clinical audit programmes to ensure regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and timely reporting to Medical Board
  • Manage clinical data analytics including monitoring quality indicators, implementing AI solutions, and providing strategic insights for decision‑making
  • Coordinate medico‑legal cases from start to finish, including complaints, litigation, and liaison with external parties such as insurers and regulatory bodies
  • Handle waiver and reimbursement processes with proper financial controls and governance frameworks
  • Support committees and workgroups through administrative oversight, meeting coordination, and driving improvement initiatives
  • Deliver education and training programmes on patient safety and clinical governance standards
  • Implement ESS standards through gap analysis, stakeholder coordination, and compliance monitoring
  • Other administrative duties such as: prepare detailed reports and presentations, maintain and manage relevant databases.

In addition to core duties, the individual will also be exposed to other supportive tasks assigned within the department to facilitate clinical governance.

Requirements
  • Degree in MBBS, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or other relevant scientific disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years of hospital experience
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission International (JCI) standards
  • Knowledge in Patient Safety Science, Quality Assurance, Clinical Governance, Clinical Audit processes, or Quality Improvement
  • Experience in healthcare data analytics and AI implementation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
