Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML and Generative AI solutions across areas such as consumer utility applications, EV charging, grid planning and monitoring, asset optimisation, billing operations, worksite safety, and customer experience.

• Provide ad-hoc decision support to business leaders through product analytics, experiment design, A/B testing, and impact analysis.

• Engage business stakeholders to gather requirements, apply domain expertise, drive project objectives, and deliver tangible business value.

• Lead technical initiatives to build AI capabilities, including time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, graph network analysis, multimodal generative AI, autonomous agents, AI security guardrails, LLM evaluation frameworks, and SLM fine-tuning.

• Collaborate closely with data engineers, business analysts, product owners, UX designers, AI engineers, and software engineers within an agile delivery framework.

• Establish and implement AI governance practices, including model documentation, validation, explainability, security controls, performance monitoring, and ethical considerations.

• Promote AI adoption and literacy by developing reusable tools, self-service analytics platforms, and conducting training sessions.

• Track and assess emerging AI tools, frameworks, and vendor solutions for potential internal adoption.

• Provide guidance to junior team members and oversee interns or contractors.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a data science or related role (mid- to senior-level), with a clear progression path toward people management.

• Demonstrated experience delivering AI/ML solutions in cross-functional environments.

• Hands‑on exposure to Generative AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or HuggingFace.

• Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI models, including their trade‑offs and evaluation.

• Proven ability to apply statistical techniques and domain knowledge in feature engineering.

• Deep expertise in at least one of the following: CV, NLP, time‑series modelling, network analysis, predictive maintenance, document understanding, RAG, PEFT fine‑tuning, or Agentic AI.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead projects end‑to‑end.

• Excellent data visualisation and storytelling skills to translate technical outcomes into business insights.

• Experience deploying Gen AI models into production using Docker, APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks such as Singapore’s Model AI Governance Framework, EU AI Act, or NIST AI Risk Framework.

• Experience in the energy or utilities domain is advantageous.
